Cathy has been with Duluth Congregational Church since July of 2007.  She is a life-long Congregationalist and a transplanted Easterner who has learned to love Duluth.  Her pastoral strengths lie in preaching, music, Biblical discussion, enthusiasm, and a commitment to God's call to justice and peace. 

Cathy is a graduate of Harvard University and of Union Theological Seminary in NYC.  She is married to a pastor; they have three daughters.

Sam Black - Music Director

Music Director Sam Black is a very fine organist, pianist, and choir director with a strong background in Christian liturgical music.

He directs our chancel choir and handbell ensemble. Sam coordinates Live Music @ One every Thursday afternoon, the Music on the Rise concert series, and a growing variety of musical events happening here at DCC.
